Our little community has 537 inhabitants.
Ladis is in the Landeck District of Tyrol (Austria).
Ladis is known for its thermal springs
Ladis is located 1200m ASL on a sunny plane at the foot of the Samnaun mountains in the Upper Inn Valley.
The village is overlooked by the “Schönjoch” peak (2491 m) and surrounded by the “Glockturmkamm (3148 m), the “Kaunergrat” and the “Aifnerspitze” (2779 m).
Burg Laudegg
The residential tower was built in the early Middle Ages and officially documented in 1239 (The Court of Duke Otto von Andechs).
The castle was the center of administration of Laudeck High Court until the 17th Century
In 1406 the Upper Inn Valley joined the Appenzeller Farmer Rebellion- Ladis was burnt to the ground and the castle destroyed.
The castle was rebuilt under the patronage of Emperor Max, but was later only used as storage or as an arsenal depot.

Mountain peaks like Venet, Eifner, Mittagskopf or Roter Schrofen are closeby.
The villages of Fließ, Kauns and Kaunerberg, Prutz Fendels are nearby.

Kaunertal valley stretches from Prutz right up to the Kaunertaler Glacier and biker fans especially love the tour from Piller to Wenns into Pitztal (Naturpark Kaunergrat) – from here you can observe really beautiful natural scenery.
